As part of our continued growth and commitment to operational excellence, we are seeking a Quality Analyst to join our Yarraville team in Melbourne and contribute to maintaining the integrity of our products, processes and quality systems.
About the Role
As a Quality Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the filling, packaging and distribution of ethanol and solvent products by ensuring all laboratory testing and quality control activities are completed safely, accurately, and efficiently. Working closely with operations, sales, and quality teams,
you will conduct routine testing, monitor product compliance, maintain laboratory equipment, and support continuous improvement initiatives to ensure products consistently meet customer and regulatory requirements.
Role Responsibilities:
- Perform daily laboratory testing and quality control activities to ensure product quality requirements are met.
- Conduct quality inspections, sampling, and analysis of finished products, storage tanks, and process materials.
- Maintain, calibrate, and verify laboratory instruments and equipment, ensuring compliance documentation is accurately maintained.
- Investigate and report product non-conformances, supporting quality management investigations and corrective actions.
- Promote a safe working environment by adhering to health, safety, and environmental requirements and participating in site safety initiatives.
- Conduct reviews of Quality documents when required.
About you:
We are looking for someone who brings:
Essential
The successful candidate will have experience working in a quality control laboratory environment, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality standards. You will possess excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team,
and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Essential requirements include a Certificate III in Laboratory Operations and 2-4 years' experience in a quality control laboratory.
Desirable
- Experience operating and maintaining GC and UV-VIS analytical instruments.
- Previous experience in a hazardous manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Knowledge of laboratory quality systems, calibration practices, and compliance documentation.
- Experience investigating quality issues and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and laboratory data management systems.
