Apprenticeships Are Us is seeking a motivated Tyre Fitting Trainee to join one of our host employers in Cockburn, WA.

This is a fantastic opportunity to kickstart your automotive career in a professional tyre and automotive service workshop, working alongside experienced technicians while gaining practical skills in tyre fitting, wheel balancing, tyre repairs and general vehicle maintenance.

You'll gain valuable hands-on experience while working towards a nationally recognised qualification in tyre fitting.

No previous automotive experience is required. We're looking for someone with a genuine interest in cars, a positive attitude, solid work ethic and willingness to learn.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Tyre Fitting Trainee,



you'll gain hands-on experience while learning to:

- Remove and replace tyres on a range of passenger and light commercial vehicles.

- Inspect tyres for wear, damage and safety concerns.

- Fit and balance wheels using specialist equipment.

- Assist with puncture repairs and tyre maintenance.

- Check tyre pressures and adjust them to manufacturer specifications.

- Identify different tyre types, sizes and applications.

- Assist with wheel rotations and tyre replacements.

- Safely operate tyre fitting machines, wheel balancers and workshop equipment.

- Follow correct procedures for lifting and supporting vehicles.

- Assist with general workshop duties and vehicle inspections.

- Develop customer service and communication skills.

- Follow workplace health and safety procedures.

- Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop environment.

About You

We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic, reliable and genuinely interested in developing a career in the automotive industry.

No previous automotive experience or Certificate II is required. We're looking for candidates who demonstrate reliability, enthusiasm and a genuine willingness to develop their skills.
