Experienced Family Law, Law Clerk

We have an exciting prospect available for an experienced Law Clerk with demonstrated experience in Family Law to join our growing team.

The successful applicant will already have:
Strong computer skills;
Rapid and accurate typing skills;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Skilled and compassionate approach towards staff, clients, counsel and court staff;
Fast learner who is confident in using a range of legal and office based software;
Previous experience as a Law Clerk, Paralegal or Legal Assistant in Family Law;
A substantial comprehension of family law processes and court procedures;
Strong drafting and written communication skills;
Exceptional organisation and file management skills;
Ability to prioritise matters effective and meet deadlines;
Attention to detail; and
Able to work as part of a team environment as well as independently;

Should you be successful, you will be responsible for:
Liaising with clients, counsel, courts, experts and other solicitors via telephone, teams, email and in person;
Diary management for conferences,



court dates and deadlines the Family Law solicitors;
Preparing and drafting correspondence, court documents, affidavits and other legal documents;
Preparing and filing documents in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia;
Managing family law files from initial instructions to completion of matters;
Reviewing and compiling disclosure material;
Assisting counsel and solicitors to prepare for court appearances;
Conducting legal and factual research; and
Maintaining accurate electronic files and records.
