McArthur is partnering with a high-profile Commonwealth Government regulatory agency to recruit multiple APS6 Senior Compliance Officers for full time non-ongoing opportunities in Canberra.

These roles are particularly suited to experienced compliance, financial audit, assurance, accounting, regulatory or finance professionals who can independently analyse complex financial information and provide well-reasoned advice.

The opportunity

You will independently review financial information and formal disclosures for accuracy, completeness and legislative compliance; undertake complex compliance assessments; analyse information from multiple sources to identify potential non-compliance and financial risk; and oversee accurate processing of statutory funding arrangements.

You will prepare high-quality advice and recommendations for decision-makers and provide guidance and support to junior staff.

About you





The strongest candidates will bring demonstrated experience supporting or leading financial audits, assurance activities, regulatory reviews or comparable compliance work.

You will have robust analytical skills, high attention to detail, the ability to interpret complex financial and regulatory information and experience producing clear, defensible advice.

Formal qualifications or substantial relevant experience in accounting, commerce, finance or a related field will be highly regarded.

Applicants must be Australian citizens and able to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance. Police, identity and impartiality screening requirements apply.

Salary: $91,140-$102,152 + 15.4% superannuation
Location: Canberra ACT
Employment: Full time, non-ongoing, approximately 12 months with potential extension
Expected commencement: November 2026
