Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Male Support Worker to join our team in Ellenbrook, Western Australia. This casual role is essential in providing support to a participant dealing with Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) issues and mental health challenges. The successful candidate will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our participant, ensuring they receive the care and assistance they need in a compassionate and respectful manner.

Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one support to clients with AOD and mental health issues.
Assist clients in daily living activities, promoting independence and self-sufficiency.




Develop and implement individual support plans in collaboration with clients and other professionals.
Monitor and document client progress, reporting any concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Facilitate group activities and workshops to encourage social interaction and skill development.
Maintain a safe and supportive workplace for clients, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Engage with families and carers to provide updates and support as needed.

Qualifications:
Previous experience in a support worker role, particularly with AOD and mental health, is essential to this role.
A relevant qualification in social care, mental health, or a related field is advantageous.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and their families.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a rapid-paced environment.
Empathy and a non-judgemental attitude towards individuals facing challenges.
Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting purposes.
