This role is located at the Central Victoria Livestock Exchange (CVLX) facility, located on Sunraysia Hwy, Miners Rest VIC
About the Role:
This position is a casual position for 2 days a week. Operations Officer provides support and assistance to the Operations Manager in the day to day operations of Regional Livestock Exchange or sale yard facilities.
Tasks and Responsibilities
General livestock handling.
Undertake feeding of livestock;
Assist with the general cleaning and maintenance of the site including cleaning and maintenance of water troughs, truck wash and sediment trap and fence maintenance;
Other duties as directed by the Operations Manager or Assistant Manager; and

What you will bring
Bobcat experience is desirable but not essential
Demonstrated experience in livestock handling and sale yard processes;
Demonstrated commitment to and understanding of animal welfare and safe work practices in a sale yard workplace;
Ability to undertake manual activities and meet the physical demands of a sale yard working setting;
Ability to take direction, follow policies and procedures and work well in a team as well as unsupervised;
Ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders including staff, customers, agents and contractors; and
Ability to co-ordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
