ARC Staff is currently recruiting an experienced Grounds Maintenance Team Member / Gardener for ongoing work with one of our major clients in Toowoomba.
This is a great chance for someone who has hands-on gardening or grounds maintenance experience, enjoys working outdoors and is looking for consistent Monday-to-Friday work.
Location: Toowoomba, QLD
Pay Rate: $34.75 per hour + super
Hours: Monday to Friday, approximately 38 hours per week
Start: Immediate / ASAP
The Role
Working as part of a supportive grounds maintenance team, you will assist with maintaining outdoor areas to a high standard.
Your duties may include:
General gardening and grounds maintenance
Lawn mowing
Whipper snipping and edging
Hedging and pruning
Weeding, mulching and planting
Operating mowers and small plant equipment
General site clean-up
Maintaining clean and well-presented grounds
Following workplace health and safety procedures
What We're Looking For
This role would suit someone who already has some gardening, landscaping or grounds maintenance experience and is keen to continue developing their skills.
To be considered, you will need:
Previous gardening,
landscaping or grounds maintenance experience
Experience using common gardening and grounds maintenance equipment
Current driver's licence
Current Police Check or willing to obtain one
Current Blue Card / Working with Children Check
Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors
Reliable and punctual
Valuable communication skills
Ability to work well as part of a team
A positive attitude and willingness to learn
Pride in your work
Formal horticulture or Parks & Gardens qualifications are an advantage but are not essential for someone with the right practical experience and attitude.
