Dental Practice Manager – Full time / Part-Time

We are a well-established dental practice in Five Dock looking for an experienced, professional, mature, and proactive Dental Practice Manager to lead and support our friendly team.

We are seeking a hands-on manager who is confident managing the day-to-day operations of the practice and is also capable of assisting with reception and chairside dental assisting duties when required.

About the Role

As the Practice Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the practice, supporting our dentists and staff, and maintaining a high standard of patient care.

Key responsibilities include:
Managing the day-to-day operations of the dental practice
Coordinating staff, rosters, workflow, and daily schedules
Managing reception, appointments, patient enquiries, and phone calls
Overseeing patient accounts, payments, and general administration
Managing stock control and ordering dental and office supplies
Supporting and supervising dental assistants and reception staff
Maintaining high standards of infection control, WHS, and practice procedures
Handling patient concerns professionally and efficiently
Monitoring practice performance and helping improve systems and workflow




Liaising with suppliers, laboratories, and external service providers
Providing chairside assistance to dentists when required
Assisting with sterilisation and clinical duties when required

About You
Previous experience in dental practice management or a senior dental role
Strong experience in dental reception and administration
Dental assisting/chairside experience is highly desirable
Good knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, infection control, and practice operations
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Confident managing staff and resolving day-to-day issues
Skilled, reliable, mature, and well presented
Able to multitask and work efficiently in a busy dental environment
Praktika dental software experience is highly advantageous
