About The Opportunity

Our client is a global logistics company with a rapidly growing presence in Australia, operating across Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane and Perth. Backed by an established international network and strong global capabilities, the business is continuing to expand its Australian operations.

We currently have an prospect for an Accountant to join the Finance team. The role is focused on ledger integrity, accurate financials, and keeping the books audit-ready. A dedicated AP/AR team handles transactional processing.

Key Responsibilities
Own and maintain the general ledger, keeping accounts accurate and reconciled
Drive the month-end and year-end close, including journals for accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and amortisation
Review and approve journal entries from the AP/AR team for correct coding and period allocation




Liaise directly with the Chinese-speaking regional HQ on intercompany reconciliations and cross-border reporting
Prepare monthly financials (balance sheet, cash flow) with clear management commentary
Manage the fixed asset register, including additions, disposals, and depreciation schedules
Prepare bank reconciliations and clear outstanding items promptly

About You
A minimum of 2 years of relevant skilled experience as an Accountant or similar
Hands-on accounting experience with strong general ledger responsibilities.
Solid analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
Competency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Background in logistics, freight, e-commerce, or a high-volume industry is a plus
Fluent Mandarin and English, written and spoken, for communication with the regional HQ
