We are looking for exceptionally experienced Disability Support Workers to provide support to a 27year old man living with cerebral palsy. This is for 4 - 8 hour shifts with a variety of days open. Shifts are 8am - 2 or 4pm and 2pm or 4pm - 8pm Some assistance with personal hygiene and dressing, food prep, domestic tasks and accompanying him on social outings. He has a dog, (a pug), so you must like dogs. He is transferred by a hoist and uses a motorised wheelchair independently.

He is a lovely man with special interests in sport, especially horse racing, football and basketball. He prefers carers under the age of 35 years who speak English well and must be self directed, motivated, compassionate and happy to accompany him to locations he attends. He is typical 27 year old male with interests just like any other.

He lives independently in an apartment in Docklands very close to tram and train (parking is expensive and difficult)

We are looking for experienced Disabiity Support Workers who;
Have a cert III or IV or have completed their first year of nursing
Are responsible, reliable and punctual
Develop outstanding relationships with the clients
Always put the client's needs first
Provide exceptional care at all times




Ensure their own safety and the safety of the client and other team members
Love to be part of a team
Always go above and beyond for the client
Bring a smile to work every shift
Have NDIS clearance, first aid and CPR training and Cert III or IV as a minimum in disability / aged care and have completed all mandatory training
Speaks and understands English exceptionally well
Has experience with transferring with the use of a hoist
Administration of enemas is preferred.
