About the role

The Able Group is looking for experienced Mental Health Support Workers to support a woman living in the outskirts of Seymour. She lives with Borderline Personality Disorder and schizophrenia-spectrum symptoms, and what she needs most right now is someone calm, consistent and patient who she can build trust with over time.

Support starts at 3 hours a day, every day. As rapport develops there is real scope for those hours to grow, so this suits someone after a steady, long-term arrangement rather than the odd shift. We're building a small, consistent team around her, so you don't need to be available all seven days.

What the work looks like

Day to day you'll help with things like community access, daily living tasks, appointments and keeping routines on track, while supporting her emotional wellbeing and working towards her NDIS goals. A lot of this role comes down to the relationship: turning up reliably, staying steady when things get hard, and following any support or safety plans in place. You'll also write transparent, timely progress notes and report any incidents in line with NDIS requirements.

Who we're looking for





You'll have hands-on experience supporting people with complex mental health needs and a positive understanding of trauma-informed, recovery-oriented practice. Experience with BPD, psychosis or emotional dysregulation is highly valued, as is a Certificate IV in Mental Health or a related qualification.

You'll need:
An active ABN (this is a contractor role)
NDIS Worker Screening Check
NDIS Worker Orientation Module
Current First Aid and CPR
Driver's licence and a reliable, insured vehicle
Public liability insurance, or willingness to get it
Full working rights in Australia

Pay

This is an ABN contractor role paying $42 to $48 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
