LiHO Shokudo is looking for a reliable Kitchen Hand to support our kitchen team in Burwood. This role suits someone who wants to build a career in Japanese cooking, with on-the-job training and the opportunity to progress toward commis chef responsibilities as your skills grow.

What you’ll do
Keep the kitchen, equipment and work areas clean and organised
Wash dishes and support the team during service
Assist with basic food preparation, portioning and mise en place
Follow food safety, hygiene and safe-work procedures
Learn basic cooking tasks under the guidance of our chefs

What we’re looking for
A positive, dependable team member who works well in a busy kitchen
Willingness to learn Japanese ingredients, preparation and cooking methods
Positive attention to cleanliness and food safety
Previous kitchen experience is helpful but not essential
