2 Positions Available | Full-Time | Doonside | $65,000–$70,000 + Super

Starlight Bakery is looking for two experienced Bakers to join our production team.

Our bakery produces a wide range of Filipino breads, pastries, cakes and baked goods, including pandesal, Spanish bread and ensaymada.

We’re looking for reliable people who are comfortable working in a busy commercial bakery or kitchen environment and take pride in producing consistent, high-quality food.

About the role

Depending on your experience, your responsibilities may include:
Preparing and mixing doughs and other bakery products
Portioning, shaping and preparing products for proofing
Baking breads and pastries
Following recipes and production schedules
Monitoring product quality and consistency
Preparing ingredients and maintaining stock
Maintaining a clean and organised production area
Following food safety, hygiene and workplace procedures
Working closely with the production team to meet daily requirements

About you

We’re looking for applicants who:




Have at least 2 years’ experience in baking, commercial food production or a professional kitchen
Are comfortable working in a fast-paced production setting
Have strong attention to quality and consistency
Are reliable and work well as part of a team
Understand food safety and kitchen hygiene requirements

Experience with Filipino breads or pastries is welcome but not essential.

Pay

Starting salary: $65,000–$70,000 + super, depending on skills and experience and subject to applicable award entitlements.
