Small, reputable, family-owned Italian restaurant in Fortitude Valley is hiring a full time Food and Beverage Attendant.
THE ROLE
The successful candidate will assist in both lunch and dinner services, and independently manage the floor during quieter lunch shifts. You will learn the specialist menu and wine list, and develop a thorough understanding of Italian food and wine culture. Once trained, you will:
Prepare for services by polishing crockery, glasses, and utensils
Set and explicit tables
Plan and manage bookings
Advise customers on menu items and take orders
Communicate effectively with other sections of the restaurant
Process payments
Ensure customer satisfaction and manage complaints
RECOMMENDED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Experience in restaurant service roles will be highly regarded, as will any experience with wine.
Knowledge of Italian food and wine is not necessary to be successful in the role, but it will be highly regarded, and will help you to succeed in the role.
REQUIREMENTS
You will be reliable, dependable, well-presented, and honest. The selected candidate will:
Hold a QLD RSA
Have 1+ year/s of experience in customer service
Have exceptional communication skills
