We are seeking experienced Boilermakers to join our team at a steel recycling facility in Newcastle. This is a great opportunity to work within a well established heavy industrial environment, with plenty of overtime available.
About the Role n
You will be responsible for the maintenance, repair and fabrication of plant and equipment used throughout the steel recycling operation. The role will involve a combination of breakdown repairs, preventative maintenance and heavy fabrication across site.
Key Responsibilities n

Fabrication, welding and repair of steel components and structural elements
n
n
Maintenance and repairs to chutes, hoppers, conveyors and processing equipment
n
n
MIG and Stick welding
n
n
Heavy fabrication and repair work
n
n
Reading and interpreting drawings
n
n
Completing breakdown and preventative maintenance
n
n
Supporting shutdown and general maintenance activities across site
n
What We’re Looking For nn
n
Trade Qualified Boilermaker
n
n
Experience within heavy industry, recycling, mining, quarrying or manufacturing preferred
n
n
Strong MIG and Stick welding skills
n
n
Experience with fabrication and maintenance
n
n
Solid commitment to workplace safety
n
n
Ability to work in a rapid paced industrial environment
n
n
Reliable and able to work both independently and as part of a team
n
