Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead our team at GYG Palm Beach on the southern Gold Coast.This is a hands-on, full time management role running a high-volume Guzman y Gomez restaurant in the Pavilions precinct on Fifth Avenue, just a short walk from the beach.
We trade from breakfast through to late night, seven days a week, across dine-in, takeaway, the GYG app and website, and delivery platforms.If you love leading a team, know how to run a tight, profitable shift and want a genuine, long-term role in a growing franchise group, we want to hear from you!
What you'll be doingSetting and reviewing stock, par and preparation levels to keep food fresh and wastage low, maintaining accurate records of stock levels, stocktakes, deliveries and wastage in the inventory and point-of-sale systemsSetting and enforcing GYG service standards for speed, order accuracy, food quality and cleanliness across in-store, app and delivery ordersDriving uptake of the GYG app, online ordering and loyalty programRolling out national marketing campaigns in-store and building local marketing plans for the Palm Beach areaRaise ideas for promotion and advertising local offers within the GYG's recommended pricing framework to franchisees, with, for example, Fifth Avenue businesses, schools, sporting clubs, community events and catering orders, and coordinating precinct promotions with Pavilions centre managementWorking the floor during peak trade, selling to customers and advising them on menu items, customisation, dietary requirements and allergensResolving customer complaints and feedback, including online reviews and delivery platform issuesOverseeing cash handling, till reconciliations and daily banking,



and preparing weekly and monthly sales, labour and stock reportsControlling the recruitment, selection, onboarding and training of crew, shift supervisors and kitchen staffSupervising the team day to day, building rosters to trading demand and labour budget, approving timesheets and managing performanceEnsuring compliance with work health and safety/food safety requirements, including the food safety program, temperature and allergen controls, cleaning schedules, incident reporting, and internal audits and council inspectionsMake marketing or retail product suggestions to the franchisees to make Palm Beach GYG even better!
About youDiploma in retail, hospitality or business management (or 3+ years' relevant retail or quick service restaurant management experience)Prior leadership experience in a busy, high-volume hospitality environmentStrong communication and customer service skillsExceptional people skills with the natural ability to inspire and motivate a young teamA hands-on leader with a positive, can-do attitude!
