The General Medical ward comprises 30 beds, including a Close Observation unit for patients requiring a higher level of care
Medical services are provided by ward based doctors and VMO's including local General Practitioners who have admitting rights
Patients with private health insurance are able to select any available Doctor with admmitting rights to look after them. A General Physician and a Gerontologist provide services in the general ward as well, along with a range of allied health services

An Upper Mid Level Career Medical Officer is required for day and evening shifts in the Inpatients Unit at a public hospital in the Northern NSW region.

General Medicine experience is required. Day shifts involve working alongside a Resident Medical Officer and a Consultant. Evening shifts are solo in-charge. Doctors may be required to be on call overnight for the wards if Emergency Department night shifts are uncovered (remunerated at one hour of the booked hourly rate for availability,



plus hours worked if recalled).
