DescriptionThe OpportunityDowner's Energy & Utilities business is seeking an Electrical Engineer, Secondary Systems to join our Power engineering team.In this role, you will contribute to the design and delivery of secondary systems for high-voltage substations, producing accurate engineering designs, models, reports, settings and technical documentation.
Working closely with the Principal Engineer, project teams, clients, subcontractors and suppliers, you will help deliver high-quality design packages that meet project, safety, quality, budget and schedule requirements.This is an excellent chance for an electrical engineer with substation experience who wants to strengthen their technical capability, contribute to major power infrastructure projects and progress towards leading an engineering design teamWhat we are looking for Qualification Electrical EngineeringFive years' experience in substation electrical engineering & RPEQ accredited Knowledge of high-voltage substation design, layouts and transmission and distribution network componentsUnderstanding of secondary protection and automation systems, including protection IEDs, SCADA control and monitoring, transformer monitoring and control, and AC and DC supply systemsThe ability to develop, read and design single-line diagrams, logic diagrams, electrical schematics, panel layouts and cable schedulesExperience preparing comprehensive design packages,
