Plastic Surgery Victoria is seeking a dedicated Receptionistto join our team in Langwarrin on acasual basis. This is a crucial frontline position that sets the tone for patient interactions and ensures the smooth operation of our medical facilities. As a Medical-Health Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, playing an essential role in creating a welcoming and qualified environment whilst managing administrative tasks that support the clinical operations of our specialist services.
About the role n
The days and hours of this role are 9.30am-1pm Mon, Wed and Fri.
n
Hours may be negotiable for the right candidate.
n
Willingness to cover annual and personal leave for other staff.
n
This role would really suit someone looking for work within school hours.
Key responsibilities n
Greeting patients and visitors in a warm and skilled manner
n
Managing patient appointments using an electronic scheduling system, including booking, confirming and rescheduling appointments
n
Processing patient registration and admission documentation accurately and efficiently
n
Answering telephone enquiries
n
Processing payments and managing administrative billing functions as required
n
Managing patient records and maintaining accurate filing systems
n
Providing information to patients about services, procedures and appointments
n
Maintaining a clean and organised reception area
What we’re looking for n
Previous experience working as a receptionist, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting highly desired
n
Solid communication and interpersonal skills
n
Proficiency in using computer systems and experience with medical software (Our practice uses Genie).
n
Excellent organisational and time management abilities
n
Demonstrated commitment to patient confidentiality and understanding of healthcare privacy requirements
n
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment
n
Strong attention to detail and accuracy with administrative tasks
