Accountable to the ILS Manager, the Technical Writer is a member of the ILS Team responsible for the design and development of the JIC System Support.The successful candidate must have evolved writing skills with the ability to write and re-write technical documents such as technical procedure manuals, software manuals, and operational specifications.
Experience with S****D is preferable.The Role:Work as part of a dedicated acquisition program team to deliver a new capability to the ADFPosition based in Raytheon Australis Brisbane facilityAuthor system, operator and maintenance technical publications for electronic, electrical, mechanical,



and other equipmentAssist with managing technical publications dataAssist with management and review of subcontractor and supplier technical publicationsAssist with technical illustrations for publicationsEnsure publications for their conformance to standards and specifications including S****D.The Person:Technical trade experience or demonstrated experience in a technical publications disciplineDesirable to have experience in authoring / technical publications development in a Defence or Engineering related fieldDesirable to have knowledge of Defence related publication standards, including ADF technical publicationsStrong attention to detail and demonstrated problem solving skillAbility to build trusted working relationshipsAbility to work autonomously, managing own time and taskingExperience with S****D Technical Publication Management SystemSuccessful candidates must be able to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance.
