About the Role n

We’re looking for a Team Leader to join a well‑established retail store in Melville. You’ll lead a small, motivated team, support day‑to‑day operations, and deliver exceptional service to both retail and trade customers. It’s a hands‑on role where your trade experience and people skills truly shine – helping others choose the right products and get excellent results.

Full‑time 38‑hour week including regular weekend hours

Key Responsibilities nn
Lead, coach, and support a small, close‑knit team

Deliver expert product and colour advice to retail and trade customers
n
Assist with tinting, mixing, and ensuring top‑quality results
n
Manage inventory, merchandising, and store presentation
n
Maintain a safe, compliant, and welcoming environment
n
Build lasting relationships with painters, builders, and DIY clients
n

About You nn
Background in painting, trade, or paint retail (ideal for qualified painters looking for a current direction)
n
Confident communicator with a customer‑first mindset
n
Natural leader with strong coaching and problem‑solving skills
n
Organised, reliable, and comfortable in a hands‑on retail environment
n
Tech‑savvy with basic POS or stock control experience
n
Current driver’s licence required
n
