The opportunity n

We're looking for an experienced Senior Desktop Support Engineer to join a large financial services client in Sydney. You'll be the go-to person onsite for end-user support, guiding a small team of junior engineers and taking on infrastructure project work as it arises.

This is a contract of up to 12 months on a salary package of $100,000. The client is keen to start as soon as possible.

What you'll be doing n

n
Supporting end-user devices (PC and mobile), office devices (printers, AV equipment) and peripherals
n
Supporting Microsoft Windows and the Office suite
n
Acting as an escalation point for complex issues and providing guidance to junior engineers
n
Working within incident, change and configuration management processes
n
Identifying systemic issues, improvement opportunities and risks, and raising them with management
n




Supporting infrastructure projects alongside end-user support
n

What you'll bring nn
5+ years of related experience
n
Diploma or equivalent in IT or a related field
n
Solid experience in an ITIL-driven environment, with solid knowledge of incident, change and configuration management
n
A positive understanding of network and infrastructure technologies (servers, storage, switches, routers, patching), with the ability to support as guided by specialists
n
Experience supervising or mentoring a small team of junior engineers
n
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
n
A strong customer service focus and excellent verbal and written English
n
A self-directed approach, able to prioritise your own work and communicate clearly with internal customers
n
Experience in a collaborative, large-scale multinational workplace (preferred)
