Austek Roads is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Asphalt Crew Truck Operator/ Machine Operator to join our crew based out of Luscombe, QLD. You will play a crucial role in supporting our asphalt paving operations, contributing to the successful delivery of vital infrastructure projects across the region.
What you'll be doing n
Perform asphalt construction duties as directed by the Crew Leader or Supervisor.
n
Operate hand tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
n
Carry out road preparation, asphalt placement, compaction, profiling and general labouring duties as required.
n
Assist with loading, unloading and handling materials, tools and equipment.
n
Maintain allocated equipment, tools and work areas in a clean, protected and serviceable condition, and promptly report any defects or maintenance requirements.
n
Carry out daily pre-start inspections and complete all required inspections and documentation.
n

Adhering to all relevant health, safety and environmental policies and procedures
n
What we're looking for nn
White Card / Construction Card
n
A valid driver's licence and reliable transportation (HR/MR Licence desirable)
n
Plant & Machinery Tickets and VOCs, desirable
n
Experience as an Asphalt Crew Members required
n
Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of asphalt paving equipment
n
Solid physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour tasks
n
A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
n
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
n
Commitment to workplace health and safety
