We are a local building company based in Tweed Heads and are seeking a enthusiastic construction estimator to join our team.

We are looking for a motivated, proactive, forward-thinking individual with excellent estimating skills. We would value someone who takes pride in their work, respectful of others, and has had a variety of experience on differing projects with the ability to undertake all aspects of estimating.

n

You will need to be a team player who can work individually and unsupervised when required. The ideal candidate will be fit and healthy, reliable, with a hardworking can-do attitude.

This is an office based full-time position.

The successful applicant will have the following attributes: n

Be reliable, punctual and well organised

Be self-motivated with good work ethic and can work as part of a team
n
Hold a driver's license as you will need to visit sites.
n

Key Responsibilities: nn
Providing accurate costs and estimates
n
Executing tender requests and submissions
n
Sourcing and reviewing quotes from sub-contractors and suppliers
n
Assisting in subcontractor selections
n




Maintaining and producing accurate project records and reports
n
Preparation of initial estimating assessment of tenders.
n
Perform trade break ups of documentation, appropriate trade subcontractor selection lists, and liaise with subcontractors to ensure they have a full understanding of the required scope of works and programme.
n
Comparison and analysis of subcontractor pricing.
n

Skills & Experience: nn
Must be able to read, comprehend and understand drawings, and specifications.
n
Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
n
Proven experience estimating on residential and commercial projects
n
Must have Buildsoft Cubit experience or the like
n
Ambition to commit long term to the business and assist in our long-term growth.
