As a CRM Functional Architect at Avanade, you will shape the functional design of complex Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement solutions for our clients across New Zealand and the wider region.
You will bridge business requirements and technical delivery, acting as a trusted advisor to both client stakeholders and internal delivery teams.Key ResponsibilitiesLead functional design and configuration of Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE / CRM solutions across Sales, Customer Service, and Field Service modulesFacilitate workshops with client stakeholders to elicit, document and validate business requirementsTranslate complex business processes into functional specifications, user stories and solution designsOversee configuration, customisation and integration design in collaboration with technical architectsProvide quality assurance across functional deliverables, reviewing solution designs and test plansSupport pre-sales engagements including effort estimation, solution scoping and proposal writingMentor and guide junior consultants and business analysts on the engagement teamManage client relationships and act as primary functional point of contact throughout deliverySkills & ExperienceYou are a seasoned CRM professional with deep expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE / CRM functional configuration and architectureYou are comfortable leading client-facing workshops and translating ambiguous requirements into clear solutionsYou have strong stakeholder management skills and can communicate effectively at all levelsYou bring experience managing workstreams and guiding junior team membersYou likely have 8+ years of experience in CRM consulting or functional architecture rolesYou hold or are working towards relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g. MB-210, MB-230)Technical skills & experienceDeep functional knowledge of Dynamics 365 CE modules: Sales, Customer Service, Field Service, MarketingExperience designing solutions using Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)Familiarity with Dataverse, Common Data Model and Azure integration patternsExperience working in both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologiesUnderstanding of DevOps practices for D365 CE including ALM and CI/CD pipelinesPreferred certificationsMB-210: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales Functional Consultant AssociateMB-230: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Service Functional Consultant AssociatePL-200: Microsoft Power Platform Functional ConsultantPreferred years of experienceYou likely have around 8–12 years of skilled experience, including significant time in Dynamics 365 CE functional consulting.At Avanade, we advance the world through the power of people and Microsoft.
