Initial project up to $5m.This project is located near Maitland NSW and will be 5 days per week on site 9hrs a day.
Candidates can live locally or commute daily from Newcastle or surrounding areas.Candidates can be a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer at a Tier 1 looking for a Project Manager role or a Project Manager at a tier 2 construction firm.
Years of experience: 5 to 10 years +.
ResponsibilitiesAssemble scope of works and request for tender documentationConduct site visits (remote and interstate sites)Conduct commercial, risk and profitability reviewsProvide detailed tender handover documentationCreate pricing modelsDesign comprehensive project programmes and communicate to teamProject delivery from inception through to completionEnsure construction programmes are followed & deliver on project quality to programmeIdentify and manage construction risk through all projects,



escalating issues when requiredManage project expenditure and cash flowManagement and achievement of external engineering design aspects of projectsDesign managementManage subcontractors on siteManage and maintain HSEQ requirements on the projectProduce progress reportsDeliver and manage client expectationsQualifications and RequirementsTertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering or similarMinimum 5 years+ experience in a similar roleUnderstanding of Risk ManagementA strong commercial acumenAbility to work part of a team as well as autonomouslyHigh level of organisation and time management skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsWell-developed interpersonal skillsExperience with Microsoft Office suite & MS ProjectKnowledge of planning softwareConstruction Safety Induction (white/blue) cardDriver LicenceAbility to obtain a clear Police CheckThis is a permanent full-time position providing a outstanding opportunity to work with a successful and growing organisation who offer challenging work and the potential for career progression.
