We are seeking a skilled Fitter to join our Port Melbourne team. This role is ideal for a hands‑on professional with strong mechanical expertise and experience in heavy manufacturing environments.

Afternoon shift: Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do: n

n
Perform troubleshooting and breakdown maintenance across a wide range of mechanical and electro‑mechanical systems.
n
Carry out bearing fitting, V-belt maintenance, laser alignment, and general mechanical rebuilds.
n
Maintain and repair pumps, pneumatics, hydraulics, and press fittings.
n
Ensure safe and efficient operation of equipment within a large‑scale manufacturing workplace.
n

Qualifications & Experiences nn
Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter or Fitter & Turner
n
FMCG Experience (highly regarded)
n
Proven experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance
n




Solid understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and vacuum systems
n
Confident fault‑finding and diagnostic skills
n
Able to work independently and within a team setting
n
Safety‑focused with a commitment to quality
n
Forklift license, boom lift (over 11m) and scissor lift tickets (highly regarded)
n
Working at Heights certification (highly regarded)
n
First Aid certificate (highly regarded)
n
Basic Rigging ticket (highly regarded)
