We are seeking a Lecturer (Level A/B) with expertise in Exercise and Sport Science.
The successful candidate will make a substantial contribution to teaching and learning through the delivery, design, and evaluation of high-quality educational programs.
They will also be expected to build their research profile, strengthen their disciplinary expertise, and contribute to research impact within the School and broader academic community.

The School is seeking to appoint a Lecturer (Education Focused, Level A/B) on a fixed-term basis.
Based in the state-of-the-art Susan Wakil Health Building at the Camperdown campus, the successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of teaching across strength and conditioning, sport science, and exercise science units of study.

The successful candidate will be a collaborative and engaged academic who is committed to excellence in teaching and ready to contribute across a broad range of academic activities.
The position also provides opportunities to contribute to research and scholarship in Exercise and Sport Science as part of a multidisciplinary team within the Faculty of Medicine and Health.Your key responsibilities include:Undertake educational innovation, curriculum design and review, contributing to outstanding educational delivery and outcomesEngage in high-quality teaching and learning experiences which meet the University's expectations and standards for educationContribute to the School's research activities, expertise, and impact.Engage in supervision of higher-degree research studentsEstablish collaborations and partnerships to enhance the research profile and reputation of the universityCarry out administrative tasks primarily connected with the area of disciplineContribute to a positive workplace culture in which diversity of thought, contribution, collaboration, excellence and achieving outcomes are valued and enabledUndertake other duties appropriate within the classification level as required.About youPhD in an academic field relevant to the discipline is preferredCurrent registration with Exercise and Sport Science Australia (ESSA) as an Accredited Exercise Scientist or Accredited Sports Scientist (ASpS) and /or current registration with Australian Strength and Conditioning Association (ASCA) would be preferredExperience in teaching and learning in a tertiary environment, as evidenced by coordination of units and supervision of students in practicals,
on placements and/or in discipline-related simulation teachingRelevant experience and expertise in strength and conditioning and sports scienceDemonstrated success in designing implementing and evaluating teaching and learning initiativesDemonstrated ability to foster inclusive, equitable and respectful learning environmentsA developing network of relationships with key academic, clinical and professional institutions, partners and stakeholders.Sponsorship / work rights for AustraliaWork Rights: you must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this employment to apply.
