Friendly Grocer Scarborough Beach is looking for an experienced and reliable Cook / Chef to join our team.

We are looking for someone with previous experience working as a cook or chef. Experience in a bakery would be a bonus, although our bakery range is straightforward and training can be provided.
What the role involves: n

Baking bread and sweet treats, including cinnamon rolls and Vegemite scrolls
n
Preparing ready-made meals such as lasagnes, butter chicken and other meal options
n
Making fresh salads and sandwiches
n
Maintaining high standards of food quality, cleanliness and presentation
n
Following all food safety,
hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures
n
Keeping the kitchen and food preparation areas clean and organised
n
What we are looking for: nn
Previous experience as a cook or chef
n
Food preparation and cooking skills
n
A solid understanding of food safety and hygiene
n
Reliable, organised and able to work independently
n
A positive attitude and pride in the quality of work
n
Bakery experience is highly regarded but not essential
