We are seeking an experienced Senior Security Specialist to join a high-performing Information Security team within a large and complex organisation.

This is a hands-on role focused on Security Operations, incident detection and response, security monitoring and continuous improvement .

Key responsibilities n
n
Monitor, investigate and respond to security events and incidents.
n
Work across SIEM, Microsoft Defender and Cloud Security technologies.
n
Lead incident response activities, including root cause analysis and post-incident reviews .
n
Support threat intelligence, vulnerability assessments and security investigations.
n
Lead or support digital forensic investigations where required.
n
Work closely with MSSPs, internal technology teams and senior stakeholders.
n
Identify opportunities to improve security controls, processes and operational maturity.
n
Contribute to incident response plans, playbooks and security governance.
n
What we're looking for nn
Strong hands-on Cyber Security / Security Operations experience.
n
Experience with Microsoft Defender, Splunk and/or Sentinel .
n
Strong understanding of Cloud Security,
EDR/XDR, network security and firewalls .
n
Experience with IAM/PAM, vulnerability management and threat hunting .
n
Robust incident response capability and knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK; .
n
Understanding of ISO 27001, NIST or similar security frameworks .
n
Experience with digital forensics, threat intelligence and root cause analysis highly regarded.
n
Excellent stakeholder communication and ability to work across technical and business teams.
n
Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or industry certifications.
n
