IGA Fraser Shores is seeking an Experienced Takeaway Cook to join our deli team in Hervey Bay. This is a fantastic opportunity to utilise your culinary expertise in a rapid-paced takeaway workplace where quality, efficiency and teamwork are paramount. You will prepare, cook and display a range of fresh and tasty menu items for our hotboxes and self-serve displays catering to our customers' needs. You will be an integral part of our food service operation, offering innovation and creative ideas while ensuring quality products.

Key responsibilities n

Preparing and cooking a range of hot takeaway foods
n
Preparing salads, sandwiches and other deli items
n
Maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation
n
Preparing food for busy trading periods
n
Ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are always met
n
Keeping the kitchen and work areas clean and organised
n
Monitoring stock, freshness and food waste
n
Working as part of a friendly and supportive deli team
n
Serving customers at the hot-food counter and at the registers
n





About you nn
Has previous experience as a takeaway, deli or commercial cook
n
Is confident preparing food in a busy, high-volume environment
n
Has excellent food preparation and cooking skills, showing creativity and initiative
n
Takes pride in the quality and presentation of their food
n
Has a robust understanding of food safety and hygiene
n
Works well under pressure and can manage time effectively
n
Is reliable, hardworking and has a positive attitude
n
Can work independently and as part of a team
n
Is available for early morning or afternoon and evening shifts, as well as weekend work
n
Supermarket deli or takeaway experience is highly desirable
n
Friendly and supportive team environment
n
Varied and interesting work
n
