Excavator Operator – Plumbing & Civil Construction Sydney Water Projects n
MGP Civil is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join our team working on Sydney Water water and sewer infrastructure projects across Sydney.

We are looking for someone with proven experience working on Sydney Water projects and operating excavators safely and efficiently around existing services.
About the Role n
You will be responsible for operating excavators across a range of water and sewer construction activities, working closely with our Supervisors and site crews to deliver projects safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
n
Sydney Water experience is essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities n
n
Secure and efficient operation of excavators (ranging from 3t - 50t)
n
Excavation around existing and live underground services
n
Trenching, pipework and backfilling
n
Working within designated exclusion zones
n
Assisting site crews with general civil and plumbing activities as required
n
Working closely with Supervisors and other site personnel
n
Completing daily plant pre-starts
n
Following SWMS, site procedures and all WHS requirements
n
General labouring where required
n
Maintaining a clean, safe and productive work environment
n
Requirements nn
Proven experience working on Sydney Water projects – essential
n
Experienced excavator operator with civil construction experience
n
Experience working around existing underground services
n
White Card
n
Current Driver Licence and reliable transport
n
Current Excavator VOC
n
Good understanding of WHS requirements, exclusion zones and secure excavation practices
n
Ability to follow direction and work effectively as part of a team
n
Reliable, punctual and safety-focused attitude
n
