Wing Hong Foods is a family-owned food manufacturing business based in Botany currently seeking a Quality Assurance Assistant / Technical Co-ordinator to join their team.

About the role n

As the Quality Assurance Assistant / Technical Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring established Quality and Food Safety standards are met throughout the business by maintaining, monitoring and supporting the HACCP and Quality Management Systems.

n

This is an entry-level position that will suit a recent graduate and will providean excellent prospect toparticipate ina multi-discipline role.

Duties will include, but are not limited to n

n
Liaising with management, staff,suppliers & clients
n
Monitoring and training staff in Food Safety and Quality procedures
n
Assisting the production team with technical support & compliance
n
Assisting with mock recalls and traceability exercises
n




Co-ordinating micro testing of products with external laboratories
n
Verifying, filing and maintaining quality / production records
n
Supporting internal and external audits
n
Managing non-conformances
n
Maintaining SOPs
n
Contributing to continuous improvement
n

Skills & Requirements nn
Bachelor degree in Food Science or equivalent (preferred but not essential)
n
Computer literate (including use of Microsoft Office suite)
n
Solid verbal and written communication skills
n
Strongtime management and organisational skills
n
Excellent attention to detail
n
Ability to work unsupervised and in a team workplace
n
Must be able to work Monday to Friday 7:00am to approximately 4:00pm with the ability to work additional hours as required
