Drive payroll transformation through systems implementation, compliance excellence, process improvement, and stakeholder engagement.We think outside the box by redefining recruitment.Through long-term partnerships, we connect the right people (You) with the right opportunities to shape careers and drive change in Australia and beyond.Synergie Australia is seeking a PayrollSpecialist for a trusted client located in Milton, QLD.Position DetailsDate of publication 22/09/2026Location Brisbane - City/Inner, QLDIndustry Accounting/AccountsSalary/Pay Not disclosedReference number The important partsPay: $65 per hour + Super | Duration: 3-month contractHours: Monday-Friday | 38 hours per weekWhat you will be required to doYou'll support a major payroll transformation initiative, working closely with payroll, HR, and business stakeholders to ensure the successful rollout of new payroll systems and processes.Support the rollout, testing, and implementation of new payroll softwareAssist with payroll data migration, validation, and go-live activitiesProvide support across payroll project delivery and transformation initiativesReview payroll processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracyDocument standard operating procedures and standardise payroll workflowsEnsure compliance with industrial instruments, payroll legislation, and governance requirementsAnalyse payroll data and support reporting requirementsCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve project outcomesRecommend process improvements and automation opportunitiesAct as a change champion, supporting adoption of new systems and processesTo be successful in the role you willHave proven experience in a large multi-site,



multi-agreement payroll environmentDemonstrate robust knowledge of payroll operations, legislation, compliance, and governanceHave experience supporting payroll projects, payroll system implementations, or payroll transformationsPossess the ability to interpret industrial instruments, awards, and enterprise agreementsHave strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skillsBe highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and reporting toolsHave experience with HRIS and payroll systems analysisDemonstrate excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skillsBe capable of managing competing priorities within a complex operational environmentHave exposure to payroll systems such as Preceda and/or Kronos (highly regarded)What's on offer for youOpportunity to contribute to a major payroll transformation projectWork alongside an experienced payroll leadership teamExposure to system implementation, testing, and process improvement initiativesCollaborative and supportive team environmentConvenient Milton location with Monday-Friday hoursSynergie Australia delivers a full 360 recruitment solution, consisting of temporary and permanent recruitment services, and more.
