The Shop Assistant is responsible for a range of tasks in the retail workplace, including packing and organising stock, assisting with stock rotation, and ensuring the shop floor is well-maintained.
The Shop Assistant also performs customer service duties such as operating the register, assisting customers, and ensuring a smooth and efficient shopping experience.
You will be expected to always represent Byrnes Meats in a friendly, positive and professional manner with all dealings of customer interactions and business matters.Key responsibilitiesOperate the cash register, ensuring all transactions are processed efficiently and accuratelyHandle cash and payments responsibly, following all cash handling procedures and ensuring all till balances are accurateEnsure proper record-keeping for sales transactions and returnsProvide exceptional customer service, assisting customers with any questions, concerns or issues they may haveCook hot food each morning for the Bain Marie, including preparing hot meals, snacks, and other ready-to-eat products for saleEnsure food safety and hygiene when handling, cooking, and storing hot food,
