This is a casual position that plays a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our school canteen.Key responsibilitiesOperating canteen equipment safely and maintaining proper food handling practices at all timesServing customers in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner during service periodsTaking orders and processing paymentsMaintaining a clean and hygienic working workplace, including washing dishes, utensils, and surfacesRestocking ingredients, supplies, and serving materials as neededFollowing all food safety and hygiene regulations, including proper storage and temperature controlDaily,



weekly and end term cleaningWhat we're looking forSound knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices, with a current Food Safety Certificate or willingness to obtain oneExcellent communication skills with the ability to interact positively with students, staff, and parentsReliability and punctuality, with a commitment to consistent attendancePhysical capability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry itemsA friendly, patient, and service-oriented approach to customerAbility to follow instructions and work as part of a team under supervisionCurrent working with children check1 day per week approx 6 hours
