Description
Hi, I'm a qualified agronomist and agricultural technician currently in Australia with full work rights, looking for a long-term role with an employer willing to offer visa sponsorship. I'm happy to relocate anywhere in Australia, including regional and remote areas.
Experience (5+ years, Australia and overseas)
Orchard technician in citrus orchards: weekly pest and disease scouting, tree health monitoring, fruit sizing, profiling and Brix testing
Integrated Pest Management (IPM): pest and disease identification, threshold monitoring, targeted control recommendations
Soil, water and leaf sampling (100+ samples a year) for nutrient analysis and fertiliser planning
Irrigation and fertigation: operating, calibrating and repairing drip/micro systems and pumps across 50+ hectares
Spray programs: chemical handling, application and equipment calibration under ChemCert AQF3
Broadacre agronomy advice across 200+ hectares (wheat, barley, canola, pasture)
Field trials, yield forecasting and technical reporting (Excel, Power BI)
Livestock support:
poultry and sheep feeding, watering and health checks
Qualifications
Bachelor of Agriculture Science & Technology (Australia)
Diploma in Biotechnology (Australia)
Diploma in Landscaping and Horticulture
ChemCert AQF Level 3
First Aid Certificate
Forklift Licence
Australian Driver's Licence
Suitable roles
Agronomist, Assistant/Junior Agronomist, Orchard or Farm Technician, Crop Monitoring / IPM Scout, Irrigation Technician, Horticulture Supervisor, Farm Hand with technical duties.
