As a respected not-for-profit organisation, we're transforming the experience of ageing through collaboration, new ideas and investment in people and services.The RoleWe are looking for an experienced Senior Personal Care Worker to join our Community Health and Care team in Rural North West, based in Gisborne.Working closely with our Senior Workforce Coordinator, you will combine hands‐on community care with mentoring and support for our Personal Care Workers.
You will help our team deliver safe, consistent and high‐quality care while supporting older people to remain independent and live well in their own homes.Mentor, coach and support Personal Care Workers, including supporting the induction and development of new team membersConduct onsite client visits and Home Safety Assessments, identifying changes in client needs, wellbeing and potential risksWork collaboratively with Care Partners, Scheduling and Rostering teams and Client Advisors to support high‐quality service deliveryProvide direct personal care and operational support when required, including leave coverageSupport workforce coordination, rostering, recruitment, training and continuous improvement activitiesAbout youTo be successful in this role you will need:Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) and Certificate IV in Aged CareCurrent First Aid and CPR certificatesStrong experience in aged care or community care, with the ability to mentor, coach and support other Personal Care WorkersStrong communication and relationship‐building skills, with a person‐centred approach to supporting older people, their families and carersStrong organisational skills and the ability to work independently,
prioritise competing demands and maintain accurate recordsAn understanding of aged care quality standards, workplace health and safety and secure care delivery within clients' homesThe ability to identify changes in client needs and risks and escalAll persons at Benetas will need to obtain a NDIS Worker Screening Clearance to be eligible for employment or engagement.
