Kiama Dental is growing our team and looking for a Part-Time Dental Assistant/Receptionist who is approachable, organised and enjoys being part of a busy practice.This position would suit someone who likes having a bit of everything in their day.
You'll spend time supporting our dentists and patients in the surgery, as well as helping out at reception and keeping the administrative side of the practice on track.We're looking for someone who is happy to pitch in, learn and take ownership of their responsibilities.What your day might look likeFrom welcoming a patient in the morning to assisting in surgery, processing a payment or getting the rooms ready for the next appointment, you'll be involved in the different parts of the practice.Your responsibilities will include:Welcoming patients and providing a friendly first point of contactManaging incoming calls,



enquiries and bookingsHandling reception administration and patient paymentsUsing EFTPOS and HICAPSPreparing surgeries and patients for treatmentChairside assisting and supporting our dentistsCleaning and turning over rooms between appointmentsInstrument processing and sterilisationFollowing infection control and hygiene proceduresHelping with general practice duties as requiredWhat will make you a great fitWe're looking for someone who brings a positive attitude and a willingness to get involved.You don't necessarily need to tick every box — we're more interested in finding the right person for our team.Ideally, you will have:Previous dental experience, with 1+ years preferredExperience with CareStack is highly regardedA confident and friendly communication styleA genuine interest in looking after patientsGood attention to detail and strong organisational skillsThe ability to work independently and as part of a teamA willingness to learn new skills and take on different responsibilitiesA calm and skilled approach when things get busyA little about the opportunityThis is a Part-Time position within a practice where you'll have the chance to work across both clinical and reception areas.You are ideally available Monday, Tuesday and Friday's.If you enjoy variety, like working with people and want to be part of a team where everyone contributes to the day-to-day running of the practice, we'd love to meet you.Interested?
