As our business continues to grow, we're looking for enthusiastic people to grow with us.About the RoleAs our Front Counter Sales Representative, you'll be the first point of contact for customers visiting our branch.
You'll assist trade professionals, builders, farmers, and DIY customers with enquiries, quotations, and sales while delivering a high level of customer service.
This is a customer-facing role with a strong sales focus,



where you'll actively follow up quotations, identify opportunities, and help grow our customer base.Key ResponsibilitiesGreet and assist customers at the front counterPrepare quotations and process sales ordersFollow up customer quotations to maximise sales opportunitiesProactively identify and pursue sales opportunities with new and existing customersBuild and maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat businessHandle phone and email enquiriesProcess EFTPOS and cash transactionsCoordinate customer orders with the warehouse teamMaintain accurate customer records and sales informationMaintain product knowledge across our steel and building materials rangeEnsure the showroom and front counter are clean, organised, and welcomingAbout YouWe're looking for someone who:Has excellent customer service and communication skillsIs sales-driven with a proactive approach to following up opportunities and achieving resultsEnjoys building strong customer relationships and delivering exceptional serviceHas previous experience in retail, front counter sales, customer service, or internal salesIs confident using computers and point-of-sale systemsHas strong attention to detail and good organisational skillsCan work well in a busy team environmentHas a positive attitude and willingness to learnExperience in the steel, hardware, building supplies, construction, or rural and agricultural industries will be viewed favourably but is not essential, as full product training will be provided.What We OfferFull-time, secure employment with a respected local businessCompetitive salary based on skills and experienceSupportive and friendly team cultureOngoing training and career development opportunitiesOpportunities for career progression within a growing companyA varied and rewarding role where your contribution is recognised and valued
