Using advanced technologies including Electromagnetic Locating (EML), Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), GNSS/GPS, total stations and survey processing software, we help clients reduce risk, improve safety and deliver projects with confidence.The role offers exposure to major infrastructure, rail and utility projects and provides an opportunity to further develop your technical skills across utility locating, surveying and digital utility mapping disciplines.About the Position:Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will work across the full utility investigation and survey workflow, from locating underground services through to spatial survey capture, processing, drafting and QA/QC of utility information.This role is suited to an experienced utility professional who has developed capability beyond locating alone and can independently survey identified utilities using GNSS/GPS and total station equipment and process the resulting data using TBC, 12d and/or CAD software.You will work closely with Utility Locators, Surveyors, project teams and specialist subcontractors to deliver accurate Subsurface Utility Information in accordance with AS **** and project requirements.Key Responsibilities:Undertake underground utility investigations using EML, GPR and other approved locating methodsInterpret BYDA plans, existing utility records and site informationIdentify, trace, mark and classify underground services in accordance with AS ****Independently survey identified utilities using GNSS/GPS and total station equipmentCapture utility positions, depths, levels, sizes,
structures and relevant attributesEstablish, verify and maintain survey control where requiredCapture and record Quality Level A utility information during NDD/potholing verificationUndertake utility, feature and detail survey activities where requiredProcess and reduce utility and survey data using TBC, 12d and/or CAD softwarePrepare utility plans, as-built information and project deliverablesComplete field and office QA/QC checks to ensure utility information is accurate, complete and traceableMaintain accurate field records, notes, photographs and supporting investigation informationCoordinate with Utility Locators, Surveyors and specialist subcontractors including NDD, CCTV and traffic management providers where requiredCommunicate utility findings, discrepancies and project risks clearly with project teams and clientsProvide technical support and guidance to Trainee Utility Locators, Survey Technicians and Utility Locators where appropriateDemonstrated technical capability in utility locating using EML and GPRStrong understanding of underground utility infrastructure, BYDA information and AS ****Competence using GNSS/GPS and total station equipment for utility survey captureAbility to establish and verify survey control appropriate to project requirementsExperience processing and reducing survey and utility data using TBC, 12d and/or CAD softwareAbility to prepare accurate utility plans, as-built information and supporting project recordsStrong QA/QC,
