At Protest, you'll work alongside skilled technicians and engineers on diverse projects, with access to mentoring, training, and career pathways.As part of PTG Group, you'll also collaborate with professionals across drilling and engineering disciplines, contributing to projects that shape communities nationwide.Key Responsibilities:As a Technician / Trainee Soil Technician at our Thomastown Site we will require you to:Undertake both field and laboratory testing across a broad range of methods,
including but not limited to Australian StandardsComplete laboratory testing at the required production levelUndertake training in test methodsFollow procedures directed by the Laboratory ManagerPrepare worksheets checking measurements and calculations of test results of other techniciansMaintain, clean and test equipment while keeping work area tidyLiaise with internal staff and clientsAbout You:You will be self-motivated, a fast learner and bring a positive attitude to the team.
We are ideally looking for technicians who possess:Valuable knowledge of Microsoft office Suite (Outlook, Word and Excel)The ability to work flexible hours and travel for work when requiredStrong communication and problem-solving skillsThe ability to work under pressure, show initiative, prioritise and schedule workThe ability to be a team player and work unsupervisedPrevious experience as a Soil Technician will be highly regardedQualificationsCertificate 3 in Construction Materials Testing (preferable)or willing to obtainNuclear Gauge License (preferable) or willing to obtainWith this said, we are open to receiving all applications and those without experience if they are eager to learn!
