We're looking for a Payroll & Finance Officer to join our growing team at HYPAR Group, supporting payroll and finance across a diverse and purpose-driven organisation.This is a 0.8 FTE, 4 day per week role based at our Narangba head office.A role designed around work-life balanceWe know excellent people have lives outside of work.You'll work 4 days per week, with Monday and Tuesday required as full working days due to payroll processing deadlines.
Your remaining two days can be flexible by agreement, giving you the opportunity to build a working pattern that fits your life.What you'll be doingReporting to our Finance Manager, you'll play an important role across both payroll and finance, helping ensure our people are paid accurately and on time and our financial processes run smoothly.Your responsibilities will include:Processing payroll accurately and efficiently across our businessManaging timesheet and payroll data, including reviewing and resolving discrepanciesApplying relevant industrial instruments and employment conditions to payrollWorking with SCHADS Award classifications, allowances, penalties, overtime and other award conditionsSupporting managers with payroll-related queriesSupporting reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial recordsAssisting with Budgetly queries and expenditure processesProviding general finance and payroll support to the Finance ManagerIdentifying opportunities to improve payroll and finance processes and systemsWhat we're looking forWe're looking for someone who is experienced,



organised and genuinely enjoys payroll and finance administration.You'll ideally bring:Previous experience in a payroll officer or similar role, with solid end-to-end payroll experiencePrevious experience interpreting and applying the SCHADS AwardDiploma in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or Business Administration or similarStrong attention to detail and a high level of accuracyConfidence working with confidential payroll and employee informationStrong organisational skills and the ability to work to firm deadlinesGood Excel and general systems capabilityA practical, problem-solving approachThe ability to work independently while also being part of a collaborative teamWe are transitioning our payroll and HR processes to Employment Hero, so experience using Employment Hero payroll, HR or workforce management systems will be highly regarded.Experience with other payroll systems is also valuable we're more interested in your payroll knowledge and ability to learn systems quickly than having used one particular platform.Compliance RequirementsThe following compliance screenings are required to be obtained and maintained to fulfil the role:LCS2 (Child Safety Screening)
