We are expanding aggressively and looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer / Fitter to join the expanding Engineering Department for the repair, maintenance and improvement of existing manufacturing process.
You will beresponsible for fault finding and proactively repairing machinery as well as preventative maintenance which enables the production team to produce high quality productsDuties & Responsibilities:Preventative maintenance and servicing of all production equipment including seamers, fillers, blenders etcElectrical & mechanical fault findingRepair of production machinery parts,
replacement of production machinery partsComplete preventative maintenance and reactive worksheets from Maintenance Scheduling ProgramPlanning and implementation of various maintenance projectsDaily maintenance and breakdown support across the site.Preventive maintenance planning and follow-up.Resolve equipment failures and downtime issues.Critical spare parts and maintenance purchasing.Contractor and supplier management.Shutdown work, installations and engineering projects.LOTO, guarding, working at height and other engineering safety requirements.Maintenance records, drawings, manuals and PLC backups.Working closely with production and QA under our GMP and food-safety requirements.Skills & Experience:Minimum of threeyears of demonstrated experience in an industrial/production/facility maintenance environmentApplicant to have had prior experience with automated filling and packaging equipment, vacuum and mechanical transfer systems and a sound knowledge of PLC-based equipmentStrong attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintenance issuesPlanning, organisation and problem solving skillsStrong technical aptitudeReliable, motivated and punctualHave a strong work ethicBe physically fit and healthy for workProven ability to work as part of a teamAbility to work under limited supervision and independentlyGood communication skills and possess effective leadership qualitiesAbility to develop and maintain supportive cross functional relationshipsUnderstanding and practice of food hygiene and food handling conceptsQualifications:Fitter, Fitter and Turner or Fitter / Machinist QualificationsElectrical engineering knowledge is desirableForklift licence is desirableFood Manufacturing knowledge or relevant industry experience
