Job Tasks and Responsibilities
In this exciting period of growth, a number of opportunities exist at Moolarben Coal Operations to join our Underground team as a Deputy. Working with a dynamic team, you will be a strong leader who has the ability to drive the correct safety culture whilst maintaining a strong focus on continuous improvement, problem solving and high standards. Your responsibilities will include:
Ensuring all crews are following HSEC policies and procedures.
Achieving and driving agreed production targets.
Delivering maintenance schedules in accordance with statutory and site regulations.
Performing statutory and compliance inspections in line with legislation.




A solid focus on minimising wastage and cost saving initiatives.
Facilitating crew/shift communications sessions.
Skills and Experience
Minimum 5 years' experience in Underground Coal Mining.
NSW 3rd Class (Deputies) Certificate of Competency.
Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
Experience with promoting a positive safety culture within the mine.
Sound planning, organisation and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to meet production targets.
Cert IV Underground Coal Mining (desirable)
