Kozzy Beans is a busy café located at Westfield Eastgardens, offering freshly prepared breakfasts, café classics and meals. With indoor and outdoor dining areas accommodating up to 51 customers, we are seeking an experienced and reliable full time Cook to join our kitchen team.

Key Responsibilities·Prepare, season and cook a variety of breakfast, lunch and café-style dishes.

·Examine food ingredients to ensure freshness, quality and suitability.

·Operate and regulate ovens, grills and other commercial cooking equipment.

·Prepare ingredients and cook food in accordance with established recipes and quality standards.

·Portion and plate meals, including sauces, garnishes and accompaniments.

·Maintain consistent food presentation, taste and portion control.

·Prepare meals to meet special dietary requirements where required.

·Store food safely in temperature-controlled facilities and follow stock rotation procedures.

·Assist with menu planning and estimating food and ingredient requirements.

·Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering supplies.

·Maintain a clean, hygienic and organised kitchen environment.





·Comply with food safety, workplace health and safety, and hygiene requirements.

·Assist with training and supporting junior kitchen staff where required.

Skills and Experience·Relevant commercial cookery qualification, such as Certificate III or Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery, or equivalent.

·At least one year work experience working as a Cook in a café, restaurant or similar dining establishment.

·Strong food preparation and cooking skills and sound knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene.

·Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment, both independently and as part of a team.

·Positive organisational and time-management skills.

·Availability to work a flexible roster, including weekends and public holidays where required.

What We Offer·Permanent full-time employment with 38 hours per week.

·Annual salary of $80,000 plus 12% superannuation.
