Help create one of Brisbane's best days on the water.See Moreton is looking for an experienced Lead Skipper to take the helm of Spirit of Mulgumpin, our purpose-built premium catamaran operating full-day experiences from Brisbane to Moreton Island / Mulgumpin.This is more than getting a vessel from A to B.Our guests come to us for a complete day on Moreton — cruising the bay, guided snorkelling at the Tangalooma Wrecks, wildlife encounters, paddleboarding, beach time, great food and genuine hospitality.We're looking for a Lead Skipper who combines strong marine capability with calm leadership, sound judgement and a genuine enjoyment of working with people.The roleAs Lead Skipper, you'll take responsibility for the safe and qualified operation of Spirit of Mulgumpin while leading the onboard team and helping deliver the standard of experience See Moreton is known for.You'll be responsible for:Safe navigation and operation of Spirit of MulgumpinLeading and supporting the onboard crewMaintaining a strong safety culture and high operational standardsMaking sound decisions around conditions and day-to-day vessel operationsDelivering clear crew and guest briefings where requiredHelping create a professional, relaxed and welcoming atmosphere onboardWorking closely with the wider See Moreton team to deliver a consistent guest experienceSupporting vessel presentation, operational readiness and relevant marine compliance requirementsBeing a visible, approachable leader for both crew and guestsAbout youYou're an experienced commercial skipper who takes safety and professionalism seriously without losing the human side of the job.You lead calmly, communicate clearly and understand that a great skipper sets the tone for the entire crew.You'll ideally bring:Relevant commercial marine qualifications for the vessel and operationStrong commercial vessel experienceDemonstrated leadership and crew-management capabilityExcellent situational awareness and decision-makingA safety-first approachStrong communication skillsA professional, practical and hands-on attitudeConfidence interacting with guests from Australia and around the worldPride in your vessel, your crew and the experience you deliverMinimum qualificationsCurrent Master less than 24 metres Near Coastal (Master
