In this role, you will support young people in achieving employment outcomes.
Key to your success will be your ability to coach and mentor young people to build their character and employability skills and connect with industry to develop successful, ongoing partnerships.You will also provide day-to-day oversight of implementing various industry program activities.Key OutcomesConducting risk assessments with employers to ensure appropriate duty of care and compliance.Leading on-campus young person training opportunities (Site Meetings, 'Rookies Be Prepared', etc.)Education and training to set young people up for successful work experience placements.Facilitation of workshops and employability skills sessions.Review and follow-up on Work Experience Program placements and provide feedback to young people.Engage both new and existing employers with The Industry School.Communication and liaison with parents/guardians and employers.About YouTo be successful in this role you will bring the following skills and experience:Previous experience in a similar role or solid Industry background with transferable skillsSound knowledge / previous Industry exposure to industry safety practicesCurrent driver's license and own vehicleCurrent Working with Children Blue Card, or ability to attain oneAbility to demonstrate The Industry School valuesRight to work in AustraliaCertificate IV in Training and AssessmentQualifications in Workplace Health and SafetyIndustry experience across boating, electrical, or construction industriesClose Date for Applications: 23 October ****Please note: Interviewing may commence prior to the closing date on receipt of application.
