Public Sector People are working closely with councils in the eastern and southeastern suburbs to recruit an Asset Protection Permit Officer for a 3-month temporary contract.Location: East and southeastern suburbsDuration: 3-month temporary contractRate: Band 4Working arrangement: HybridKey ResponsibilitiesReview and assess Asset Protection and related permit applications, including appeals against unsuccessful applications.Assess permit and consent requests from Public Authorities, developers and contractors, ensuring applications meet Council requirements.Review Traffic Management Plans and identify where additional permits,
approvals or referrals to other Council departments are required.Process a range of applications and requestsAssist with updating the database with results of investigations, recommendations and legal noticesProvide outstanding customer service by dealing with incoming queriesWhere appropriate, educate the community around Local Laws and other relevant regulation and Acts that protect the amenity and infrastructure of the communityKey CriteriaStrong administrative backgroundTraffic management experience is essentialAbility to read, design, implement and assess traffic management plans.Ability to deal with challenging customersLocal council experience is highly regarded
