Banyule City Council is seeking a proactive and organisedEmergency Management Officer to support Council's emergency management arrangementsand help ensure our community is prepared, supported and resilient when itmatters most.

This is an excitingopportunity to join a collaborative Emergency Management team and contribute meainingful work across emergency planning, preparedness, response and recovery.Working closely with the Emergency Management Team Leader, you will help maintainand improve Council's emergency management systems, plans and processes, whilesupporting strong relationships with internal teams, emergency services,partner councils, agencies and the community.
What you'll bring/what we are looking for
We're looking for someone whois organised, collaborative and flexible, with a genuine interest in emergencymanagement and community safety. You will be comfortable working withprocedures, plans and reporting requirements, while also being able to buildpositive working relationships with a wide range of people. You'll have:
A demonstrated interest in emergency managementand experience in administration, governance and/or project management support.
Ability to workcooperatively with others, contribute to positive team relationships andengage respectfully with a diverse range of people.
Ability to contribute ownexpertise to achieve quality outcomes for the unit by being positive andflexible with day-to-day work changes, shifting priorities and periods ofuncertainty.
Ability to understand andsupport the organisation's vision,
mission and business objectives and cancontribute to the development of plans, strategies and team goals.
Demonstrated ability toadopt a principled approach and adhere to organisational values and theCode of Conduct, operate within the boundaries of organisational processesand legal/public policy constraints and have the ability to take personalresponsibility for accurate completion of work and to seek guidance whenrequired.

What we offer:
A permanent,full-time position with a monthly Rostered Day Off (RDO)
Salary$83,****** - $96,****** per annum plus super (dependent on experience)
26 weeks of paid parental leave - primary carer/4 weeksof paid parental leave - partner

The role is required to provide a 24 hourafterhours service for Emergency Management response as the on-call DeputyMunicipal Emergency Management Officer (MEMO), which will require participationin a shared roster on a week by week basis, including rostered overtime onweekends.
